Falcons blank Red Raiders, 2-0

By The 1 min read

The combination of Jake Sabatula and Nick Climes did just enough to lift Brownsville over host Uniontown, 2-0, in a non-section boys soccer match on Monday night.

The goalkeeping of the Falcons’ Nate Kovscek didn’t hurt either.

Sabatula scored a goal in each half with Climes assisting on both as Brownsville (11-5-2) snapped a three-game losing streak in its regular-season finale.

Kovscek stopped all six shots he faced in recording the shutout.

Brownsville now awaits the WPIAL playoff pairings meeting on Wednesday to determine its next opponent.

Brandon Bell made three saves for the Red Raiders (2-14).
