BROWNSVILLE
Wanted man arrested
Police arrested Shawn Scott, 23, of Brownsville, Wednesday afternoon, when they were notified he was in South Hills Terrace. Redstone and Brownsville police both responded, and Scott allegedly tried to run out the back door. He was apprehended. Police said he has three criminal warrants and a parole bench warrant. Bail was set at $5,000 for each warrant.

Fight reported
Two people were involved in a domestic altercation at 1515 Georges Fairchance Road, Oct. 13, according to state police. Police said the first person slapped the second person, who responded by punching the first person. Police did not release their identities.
NORTH UNION TWP.
DUI charged
State police said a driver was stopped for a traffic violation on U.S. 40 near Northgate Highway, Aug. 8, and was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Police said the driver, who was not identified in a release, was charged.

Threats involving LH students
State police were notified Sunday afternoon of a circulated image of a Laurel Highlands student holding a firearm with text that said, “Don’t Come to School Tomorrow.” Police found the child in the image was not involved, and the image was edited by two other juveniles who were identified by state police, they said.
