CARROLL TWP.

Theft alleged

Carroll Township police charged Tyler C. Vayansky, 31, of Monongahela with theft and receiving stolen property on Saturday, related to an alleged theft Friday in the township. He was committed to the Washington County Prison in lieu of $2,500 bond and faces a preliminary hearing next month before Magisterial District Judge Larry Hopkins.

CARROLL TWP.

Assault charged

Alexander J. Pritchard, 21, of Donora was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct related to an alleged assault on Sunday, Carroll Township police said. Bail in the case was set at $2,500 by Magisterial District Judge James C. Ellis.

DUNBAR TWP.

Tractor wires cut

State police said someone cut the wires on a tractor at 220 Little Summit Road between 5 p.m. Oct. 10 and 10 a.m. Oct. 11. The victim was identified as a 54-year-old Dunbar man.

HENRY CLAY TWP.

Deer hit

State police said Hugo J. Andreini, 62, of Wheeling, West Virginia, hit a deer on National Pike near Pike School Road, disabling his Chevrolet CP. He and his passenger, Laura J. Andreini, 58, reported no injuries to police.

NORTH UNION TWP.

Corruption of minors

State police said Rodney Harris, 21, of Uniontown was found in a room at Park Inn Hotel, Oct. 3, providing alcohol and marijuana to a 15-year-old girl. He was charged with three counts of corruption of minors, two counts of furnishing liquor to a minor and one count of possession of marijuana. All his charges were held for the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas at a preliminary hearing Oct. 10. He was released from jail after a $35,000 bond was posted on his behalf.

ROSTRAVER TWP.

Woman charged

Rostraver police charged Michelle I. Brant, 47, of Belle Vernon with simple assault and cited her for harassment following an alleged incident on Oct. 19. She was released on her own recognizance and faces a preliminary hearing later this month before Magisterial District Judge Charles Christner.

SPRINGFIELD TWP.

Wheel falls off, damages property

State police said Edward J. Shawley was driving west on Springfield Pike near George Prinkey Road at about 6:20 a.m. Thursday when a wheel fell off his GMC Sierra and rolled down a slope, hitting a home at 3236 Springfield Pike, causing major damage to the siding.

Criminal trespass

Stephanie Datsko, 34, of Uniontown was charged with criminal trespass for allegedly going to Wal-Mart, Oct. 4, saying, “The cake Wal-Mart sells is too good to stay away.” Police said she was previously ordered to stay out of Wal-Mart and issued a no-trespass order.
