The winner of Wednesday’s Laurel Highlands-Albert Gallatin Section 2-AAA golf match would be alone in second place and remain one match behind front-running Elizabeth Forward.

The Mustangs pulled together one of its lowest scores of the season at Duck Hollow Golf Club for a 207-217 victory over the Colonials.

Laurel Highlands improves to 4-1 in the section, as well as overall, while Albert Gallatin goes to 4-2 in the section and 5-2 overall.

Albert Gallatin’s Aaron Fetzner was medalist with a 1-under 35.

Teammate Cole Bogozi shot a 40. Jared Provance finished with a 44. Chandler Goodwin (47) and Dom Neino (50) rounded out the scoring for the Colonials. Ethan Davis’ 50 wasn’t used.

John Ek, Steven Ross and Cain Basinger all shot 40 for the Mustangs. Greg Hensh finished with a 42 and Olivia Soom counted a 45. Matt Santilli’s 48 was not used.
