Centurions shut out Jefferson-Morgan, 10-0

Greensburg Central Catholic 10, Jefferson-Morgan 0 – Antonio Cavallo allowed only one hit and Greensburg Central Catholic made the most of 11 walks for a 10-0 Section 2-A victory Monday afternoon over visiting Jefferson-Morgan.

The game was moved to Seton Hill University with the Centurions’ field unplayable.

Greensburg C.C. scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning, one in the second, four in the fourth and invoked the mercy rule with one out in the bottom of the fifth inning with two runs.

Cavallo allowed only Jake Broadwater’s single in the fourth inning. He walked one and struck out 11.

The Centurions (1-0, 1-1) had six hits, including Paul Rice’s double. Jefferson-Morgan pitchers walked 11 batters. Eight of those walks came around to score.

Colton Davidson started and pitched one inning for the Rockets (1-1, 2-1). He allowed three runs with no strikeouts and two walks.
