Falcons cruise past Scotties, 10-0

Brownsville 10, Southmoreland 0 – Travis Sipple’s base hit up the middle broke up Brody Bagwell’s no-hitter, but Brownsville cruised to a 10-0 Section 3-AAA victory over Southmoreland on Tuesday at Redstone Field.

Bagwell had five strikeouts and three walks in the five-inning victory.

The Falcons’ Trevor Stewart had two double and teammate Austin Lincoski added a two bagger.

Brownsville’s Dylan Brosky had three RBIs with a single, sacrifice fly and walking with the bases loaded.

The home team scored three runs apiece in the first, second and fourth, and one in the third.

The Scotties’ Jaden Datz took the loss after allowing nine runs on eight hits in 4 2/3. He had two strikeouts, walked seven and hit two batters.

The Falcons (2-0, 3-0) host Washington (1-0, 1-2) this afternoon at 4:15 p.m.

Southmoreland fell to 0-2 in section play and 0-3 overall.
