Michael Brestensky Applause

The Education Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce recently honored Michael Brestensky of Hopwood, a junior at Laurel Highlands High School, as a student of the month for March.
A son of Matt and Tammy Brestensky, he plans to attend Penn State University to study aerospace engineering.
Brestensky was the winner of the Fayette Chamber Extra Effort Award in 2015 and is a member of the Penn State 4.0 Club.
He is involved in the extracurricular activities, playing baseball.
Brestensky has work experience at the Time Out Batting Cages and is an altar server at St. John Roman Catholic Church.
Elected by their schools based on academic achievement, extra curricular activities, and citizenship, students of the month are honored by the chamber’s Education Council. They were presented a recognition certificate at the Students of the Month Dinner in April.
The Laurel Highlands Students of the Month (second semester) were sponsored by Vern Allen Tire Inc.
