The Vance sisters and Brownsville teammate Ashton Reposky had quite an afternoon Wednesday with strong performances in the distance events at the Section 6-AA Invitational.

Sara Vance won the 800 (2:40.55), 1,600 (5:43.69), and 3,200 (12:43.22). Her sister Jessica was second in all three races, with Reposky finishing third in the 800 and 1,600. The trio joined Hannah DeWitt to win the 3,200 relay in 10:51.

Waynesburg Central’s Kaitlyn Pester broke the string with a third-place finish in the 3,200.

The Lady Falcons were section champions in the 400 relay, as well, finishing in 53.10 seconds.

Frazier’s Skye Eicher (100, 12.71; 200, 27.34), California’s Bre Trusler (400, 1:03.09), Marissa Bitonti (discus, 82-2) and Makayla Boda (300 intermediate hurdles, 49.33), Bentworth’s Brenna Cavanaugh (100 high hurdles, 15.75), Waynesburg Central’s Madison Brooks (shot put, 34-3½) and Keira Fuqua (pole vault, 9-0), Brownsville’s Aniya Tarpley (high jump, 15-4¾), Washington’s Saffron Crowe (triple jump, 33-2), and Beth-Center’s Kennedy Kuhns (javelin, 110-4) were all section champions.

West Greene’s Benjamin Jackson had a solid performance, winning the 100 (10.99) and 200 (23.88), and finishing third in the triple jump.

The Washington boys won the 400 relay (46.12) and 3,200 relay (9:17.40), while Charleroi took honors in the 1,600 relay (3:41.83).

Washington’s Leo Saldivar (400, 52.24), Mykael Brown (shot put, 46-10), and Myles Stevenson (300 intermediate hurdles, 42.73), Charleroi’s Sean Kwasny (800, 2:12.17), California’s Charles Roberts (1,600, 4:55.48) and Dustin Mock (110 high hurdles, 17.17), Brownsville’s Ray Brumley (3,200, 12:03.28) and Nicholas Seto (triple jump, 40-10½), Beth-Center’s Jordan Blackburn (discus, 151-11) and Michael Berdar (high jump, 5-11¾), Frazier’s Julian Muccioli (long jump, 20-2), and Waynesburg Central’s Scott Benco (javelin, 149-4) and Ray Behm (pole vault, 10-6).
