4-vehicle accident
State police said driver Crystal J. Rees, 38, of Scottdale failed to apply her brakes in time for traffic stopped on Route 819 near Bessemer Road at about noon Aug. 17. Traffic was stopped waiting for a driver to turn left, police said. Rees’ vehicle struck a vehicle driven by driver Joseph M. Dusha, 77, of Connellsville, pushing him into driver Renee Nickelson’s vehicle. Nickelson, 25, of Rockwood was pushed into driver Sylvia S. Switch’s vehicle. Dusha and his passenger, Beverly J. Dusha, 75, of Connellsville, suffered suspected minor injuries. They were taken to Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital by ambulance. Marsha Kent, 42, of Connellsville, a passenger in Rees’ vehicle, was taken to Frick Hospital with a suspected minor injury. No other injuries were reported. Jensine Miller, 20, of Mount Pleasant was Rees’ other passenger. Switch, 36, of Connellsville was driving with a 6-year-old passenger. Nickelson was driving with passengers Scott A. Fazenbaker, 43, of Confluence and Adam L. Hall, 47, of Addison.

Missing trailer
State police said a 53-foot Transcraft Step Deck Trailer was reported missing from Days Inn May 12. The trailer was left by a driver in the parking lot. The leasing agency, STAAR Logistics, told police they were unable to find it.

Fight reported
State police said a 35-year-old man and a 48-year-old man, both of Uniontown, were fighting at 142 Grandview Ave. at about 10:15 p.m. Aug. 7 over items that may have been stolen. Both men told police they did not want to pursue charges.
