Erin Egnot Applause

Uniontown Rotary club recently honored Erin Egnot as a December student of the month.

A daughter of Lisa and Tom Egnot of Uniontown, she is a senior at Laurel Highlands High School. Egnot plans to attend West Virginia University to study exercise physiology/pre-DPT with the long-term goal of becoming a physical therapist.

Her activities and honors include studying dance at Larraine Susa Dance Unlimited where she received the Joanna Piccolomini 2017 Memorial Scholarship; soccer, president of Students Against Destructive Decisions, president of Mustang Mentors, LH Book Nook, National Honor Society, Junior Achievement, Penn State 4.0 Club, student government, ski club, courtyard clean up and Thanksgiving food drive.

Egnot also received the Challenge Program Community Service Award for 2016-17 and Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week Scholarship in 2017.

She is employed as a PSIA-AASI ski instructor at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington.

Egnot’s hobbies include dancing, skiing, playing soccer and helping the community.
