CONNELLSVILLE

Rollover accident

Connellsville police said driver Ryan J. Kelly, 27, of Everett fell asleep and crashed at the intersection of West Crawford Avenue and Arch Street at about 5:20 a.m. Monday. Police said he crossed into the opposing lane of West Crawford Avenue, hit the curb and rode the wall briefly before the vehicle flipped onto its roof. No injuries were reported. Police said the bridge did not sustain any structural damage. The bridge was closed until about 8 a.m. Connellsville police were assisted by Fayette EMS and New Haven Hose fire department.

Dog hit

State police said a driver hit a dog running across Walnut Hill Road near Center Road at about 11:10 a.m. Saturday, causing minor damage to the vehicle. The driver reported no injuries.

Corruption of minors

A warrant was issued Friday for Donnie R. Riggleman, 35, of Grandville, West Virginia. A girl, whose age was not released in court paperwork, told police that after a cookout on Aug. 18, 2016, Riggleman took her to an abandoned property and touched her inappropriately. He is charged with corruption of minors and indecent assault. Police said Riggleman denied the incident.

Assault on woman

Eric J. Yackmack, 52, was charged with aggravated assault and strangulation for allegedly choking a woman at his 170 Poundstone Road home at about 6:30 p.m. Monday. The woman told state police at Uniontown Hospital she and Yackmack were arguing when he hit her and choked her, causing bruising and redness to her neck which made her struggle to speak and scratches to her cheek. She said he followed her to the hospital and tried to talk her into medical treatment. Yackmack reportedly admitted to police he caused her injuries. He is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $15,000 bond.

Woman charged

Toni M. Lint, 40, of Dawson was charged with theft for allegedly stealing $2,542.35 from Sweet Pea’s at 169 Main St. over the course of about one month as an employee of the convenience store.
