Charges filed
Uniontown state police have charged Stephen A. Acey of Connellsville with retail theft and criminal trespassing following an incident where police allege he removed $16.97 worth of unpaid merchandise at 1:57 p.m. June 25, from Walmart in Dunbar Township. According to the report, Acey removed two black web charging cables from a shelf and exited out the front door.

Mailbox damaged
Uniontown state police investigated an incident of criminal mischief that occurred at 12:40 p.m. June 27, at the home of Matthew P. Moore on Elm Street in Fairchance. Police allege that an unknown person or persons damaged a mailbox by unknown means at the residence before fleeing the scene.

Break-ins reported
Uniontown state police investigated reports of several break-ins of automobiles parked at several residences along Kyle Avenue and Beth Lane in Fairchance between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday. The police ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them immediately at 724-439-7111.

Man accused
Uniontown state police have accused Herbert Lee Hatfield of New Brighton of harassment after he allegedly contacted a Menallen Township woman several times after being instructed by a state trooper not to have any contact with her. According to state police, Hatfield threatened physical harm and annoyance during the incident.

PICS violation
Uniontown state police investigated a possible violation of the Pennsylvania Instant Check System, the process used to determine an applicant’s eligibility to legally purchase a firearm. According to police, they allege Brian K. Cleaver, 46, of Brownsville, falsified a federal document while attempting to purchase a firearm at 2:07 p.m. June 13, at the Walmart in South Union Township.
