Broadwater, Bedilion toss combined no-hitter

By The 1 min read

Jake Broadwater and Bryce Bedilion combined for a no-hitter Monday afternoon to lead Jefferson-Morgan to a season-opening 10-0 non-section victory over visiting Avella.

Broadwater stymied the Avella offense for the first four innings, striking out 10 and walking two. Bedilion closed the game with one walk and three strikeouts in the final two innings.

The Rockets scored three in the first inning, five in the fifth and invoked the mercy rule with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Bedilion and Broadwater both doubled. Bedilion finished with two hits, while Broadwater drove in a pair. Kyle Clayton scored twice.
