Lady Scots fall to South Park, 9-4

South Park 9, Southmoreland 4 – South Park scored all of its runs over the first three innings to return home from Southmoreland Thursday afternoon with a 9-4 victory in Section 3-AAA action.

South Park improves to 10-0 in the section and 11-1 overall. The Lady Scots go to 7-3 in the section and 7-4 overall.

South Park scored twice in the top of the first inning (on Kaitlyn Morrison’s home run), six in the second and one in the third.

Southmoreland scored two runs in the bottom of the third on Faith Miller’s home run and two more in the fourth.

Jess Matheny took the loss, striking out nine and walking eight. Five of the eight walks scored. Methany also hit a double.

Maegan Shetterly had a double, single and two RBI for the Lady Scots.
