Juvenile charged
Connellsville police said a 14-year-old Uniontown boy was charged as a juvenile with retail theft for allegedly stealing a bottle of liquor from Wine and Spirits, Friday. Police said the teen confessed to the theft.

Broccoli salad stolen
Kaylee D. Black, 22, of Connellsville was cited with retail theft after she allegedly took broccoli salad from a cooler at South Side Honey Bear and put it in her purse May 15. During the Connellsville police investigation, officers learned Juanya Knopsnider, who was with her, was reportedly wanted by state parole for a violation. He was taken into custody. Black reportedly admitted to the theft.

Teens fighting
Connellsville police said they charged a 15-year-old Connellsville girl and a 14-year-old Connellsville girl with disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting at 2nd Ward Park, April 28. Police said they were yelling at a juvenile victim about a previous incident and began hitting the person until the victim’s brother stepped between them.

Man sleeping on porch
Connellsville police charged Daris U. Alum, 25, of Uniontown after he was allegedly found intoxicated and sleeping on a West Green Street porch Saturday. The 911 caller said he tried to assault her husband. He allegedly ran from police, prompting them to use a Taser. He reportedly resisted arrest. He was reportedly found with suspected cocaine and marijuana. Police said he admitted to drinking in a bar in Uniontown. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, simple assault, defiant trespass and loitering and prowling at nighttime.

Firearm stolen
Terry G. Szwed, 20, of Scottdale was charged for allegedly stealing a firearm from a vehicle at 1234 Water Street at about 5:30 a.m. May 5. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was taken into custody May 13. The gun belongs to John E. Kuhn, 40, of Alverton, according to police.

Domestic violence
Sarah I. Murray, 32, and Mark A. Murray, 38, of 208 Clark St. were charged with simple assault for an alleged domestic violence incident at their house just after midnight Saturday.
