Lady Mikes sweep Lady Rockets, remain undefeated in section, overall play
Carmichaels remains undefeated in Section 2-A and overall play following a 3-0 sweep over Jefferson-Morgan on Thursday at Carmichaels.
Carmichaels is at Geibel Catholic (11-1, 15-6) on Tuesday in a key Section 2-A match at 7 p.m. The winner will be in the driver’s seat for the section crown.
The Lady Mikes (12-0, 12-0) won by scores of 25-21, 25-21 and 25-11. The Lady Mikes’ Micaela Ricco had 32 digs and Grace Kerr had 12 service points and 15 assists. Teammate Meighan Spishock had 16 digs and four kills. Carmichaels’ Alexandra McGee had 10 service points and 19 assists.
Emma Hyatt had 12 kills and Emily Mundell had seven service points for the home team. The Lady Mikes’ Abigail Fordyce had 14 digs and Taylor Christopher had six kills.
