Lion Players
Mission: The Lion Players came together in 1998 as students, faculty and staff at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus created a company dedicated to an annual April production by renowned English playwright William Shakespeare. The club added a fall holiday play to their season five years ago. The Lion Players will present “Macbeth” at 11 a.m. April 3 and 4, and at 7 p.m. April 5 and 6 at the Magerko Auditorium. Admission is free. Large groups, such as schools, are asked to call ahead at 724-430-4271 or email advisor Lynn Petko at lynnpetko@gmail.com.
Membership: Lion Players is open to all Penn State Fayette students, faculty and staff as well as alumni. While the club has had as many as 30 members in the past, Lion Players currently have about 10 members and are looking to increase their numbers.
Meetings and dues: Meetings are held at lunchtime Tuesdays and Thursdays during the academic year at the Magerko Auditorium in the campus Community Center. More rehearsals are added as needed when productions are near. There are no dues.
