Reschenthaler announces 2023 congressional art competition
U.S. Rep. Guy Reschenthaler has announced the launch of the 2023 Congressional Art Competition for Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District.
The winning artwork from the 14th district will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol alongside pieces from all participating districts around the country.
Artwork entered in the contest can be up to 26 inches by 26 inches by 4 inches, and not weigh more than 15 pounds. All pieces must be framed and not exceed the specified dimensions. Acceptable artwork includes:
n Paintings, including oil, acrylics and watercolor;
n Drawings, including pastels, colored pencil, pencil, charcoal, ink and markers. It’s recommended that charcoal and pastel drawings be fixed;
n Collages, which must be two-dimensional;
n Prints, including lithographs, silkscreen and block prints;
n Mixed media;
n Computer-generated art;
n Photography.
