Nextech Announces CEO Succession
MELBOURNE, Fla.-(BUSINESS WIRE)-Jul 10, 2023-
Nextech, a leading independent self-performing commercial HVAC/R service provider, announced today that Luis Orbegoso has been named President and Chief Executive Officer. Orbegoso succeeds John Gelp, who has been appointed Chairman.

Luis joined Nextech in July of 2022 as President and has since led day to day business operations as well as the successful integration of the several businesses Nextech has acquired since then. He brings extensive and relevant experience to this role, he was previously President & COO of American Residential Services, a leading Residential HVAC and plumbing Company. Prior to that, Luis was the President of ADT Commercial, where he successfully scaled the business after the ADT/Tyco spinoff. Luis also spent time at United Technologies, where was the President of their Commercial security businesses and later, their Life Safety/Fire businesses.
Throughout his career, Luis has been successful at executing growth strategies and scaling companies at the intersection of services and technology.
