Lisa M. Miller Pilarcik, 54, of Scenery Hill, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, in the Donnell House, Washington. Born January 9, 1970 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of John “Jack” Miller of Belle Vernon, and Sharon Miller Dalton and husband Gary of Fayette City.

A resident of Scenery Hill for the past 19 years, Lisa was Christian by faith.

She was a hospice nurse until she was diagnosed with ALS in 2020. Her work was her passion, she spent her career providing love, comfort, and care to her patients.

Family was the most important thing to her; she enjoyed spending time with them, doing outdoor activities with her husband, hunting, fishing, and loved the Outer Banks.

She played softball as a shortstop for Belle Vernon and Renegade Travel team then later coached.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Pilarcik with whom she just celebrated 29 years of marriage in December; two sons and daughter-in- law, Jacob and Marissa Pilarcik of Plum, and Alexander Pilarcik of Scenery Hill; brother, Ryan Miller; mother-in- law, Jamie Pilarcik.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott E. Miller; niece, Paige Miller; stepmother, Diana Miller; and father-in-law, Charles Pilarcik.

Visitation will be held from 12 to 4 p.m., the time of a funeral service, Saturday, February 3, in the PARZYNSKI FUNERLA HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions, in memory of Lisa M. Pilarcik, be made to the Team Gleason Foundation.
