Joan Brownfield Daniels Moore

Joan Brownfield Daniels Moore, 90, of Marlinton, W.Va., peacefully went to be with her Lord Sunday, February 4, 2024. She was born in Fairchance, to the late Harry J. Brownfield and Mildred Doolittle Brownfield.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Graydon Daniels III; husband, Jack C. Moore; sister, Vivian Lesnett; and brother, Harry J. Brownfield.
Joan graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, obtained her master’s degree and became a teacher at Albert Gallatin High School until she retired in 1993.
Joan is survived by two daughters, Linda Daniels Barb (Howard) of Marlinton, W.Va., Lee Ann Daniels of Stuart, Fla.; sister, Linda Bradstock (Jack); daughter- in-law, Kathy Daniels; her grandchildren, Scott (Ami), Daniel (Tish) McGee, Carly, Chase (Kelley), Ryan (Amanda) Daniels, and Rachel (Ryan) Allen; 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by special family members, Marian D’Auria, Jacalyn Westhusing and Kim Hackney; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of a funeral service, Joan asked that her friends and relatives all release a balloon and say a prayer on Sunday, May 12, wherever they may be, if able. If a balloon is not available, a prayer would be appreciated.
