Elsie Matilda “Honey” Webb, of Leisenring, passed away peacefully in Uniontown Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on her 92nd birthday, Monday, January 8, 2024. She was born in 1932 to the late Eleze and Vernon Thompson, Sr.

In addition to her parents, Honey was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Webb Sr.; her infant daughter, Donna Marie; and siblings, Kathaleen Walker, Annabelle Thompson, Verniece Burton, Vernon Thompson, Jr., and Carl Thompson.

Honey leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving children, Anna E. Webb of Bellevue, and Morris Webb, Jr. of Leisenring; along with many nieces and nephews and cousins, whom she loved dearly.

Elsie graduate from Dunbar Township High School in 1950. She was a loving mother, aunt, cousin and friend to all who knew her.

She was a member of Payne A.M.E. Church in Connellsville and a member of the Fayette County Senior Action Council.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 19, in Payne A.M.E. Church, 812 W. Crawford Avenue, Connellsville, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, with the Rev. Alfred L. Thompson, Jr. officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, INC., 297 E. Main Street, Uniontown.
