Sharon M. Klay, 76, of Chalkhill, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024, in Uniontown Hospital, after a long illness.
She was born July 29, 1947, in Torrington, Conn., to the late Raymond Eugene and Cassandra Pipa Malone.
She was the beloved wife of John W. Klay, MD.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Christian W. Klay and daughter-in-law, Tia Lee of Chalkhill.
Sharon graduated from Torrington High School. She also obtained a dental hygienist degree from the University of Bridgeport and a studio arts and art history degree from Fordham University.
She worked as a dental hygienist for 13 years. She was the founder, owner, and winemaker of the Christian W. Klay Winery in Chalk Hill.
Sharon was vice president of the Farm Bureau Fayette County Chapter and vice president of the PA Wine Association.
Services held are private for the family.
Interment will be at Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
