King places 25th in 100 freestyle trials

Mount Pleasant senior Lily King placed 25th overall in the 100-meter freestyle Tuesday afternoon at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Lucas Stadium.

King finished with a time of 55.14 seconds with a 50-meter split time of 26.20 seconds. The qualifying mark for the 16th spot was 54.72 seconds.

King actually improved her qualifying time of 55.35 seconds.

King next swims in the 50-meter freestyle on Saturday.
