State police arrested a Uniontown man Tuesday after he allegedly assaulted a woman and stole money from her purse. Joe Earl Hines III, 25, of Uniontown, faces felony charges of aggravated assault, robbery, burglary, and misdemeanors of strangulation, simple assault, theft by unlawful taking and disorderly conduct. According to the criminal complaint, shortly before 1 a.m. Tuesday police were called to a home in the 200 block of North Gallatin Avenue.
