Man sentenced for role in concealing body of overdose victim

A Uniontown man was sentenced to six to 12 months in prison last week for tampering with physical evidence in connection with the disposal of a body of a Fayette county woman who died of an overdose in 2022. Joseph Lockett, 40, was released after the sentencing, having spent 1,136 days in custody. He was arrested in October 2022, shortly after state police found the body of Keisha Hottinger, 26, in a wooded area near Old Braddock Road in North Union Township. Hottinger’s mother had declared her missing two weeks earlier. Lockett told police at the time he and Austin Saletrik had been with Hottinger when they observed her in an unconscious state along Hopwood Coolspring Road. ...

Greene ADA: Plea in the works for man accused of impersonating official

Plea negotiations are continuing for a Mount Morris man accused of harassing people at a neighboring property while impersonating a public official. A plea agreement covering that incident and four other cases involving Richard Long, 45, should be finalized by the time of the next hearing in March, Greene County Assistant District Attorney Nicole LaPresta said at a plea court hearing Tuesday. Long is accused of repeatedly harassing Rebecca Elkin-Young, her husband and workers between June and September at their property on Mount Morris Road. Greene County man accused of assaulting his child

A Carmichaels man is accused of hitting his 3-month-old child multiple times. The child’s mother reported Ezra Jones, 26, to Cumberland Township police last month when she spotted numerous marks on the baby after Jones cared for him, according to his criminal complaint. Police said videos provided by the mother showed Jones approaching the child’s crib and striking the child before again reaching into the crib, both times followed by the sound of crying.
