The Masontown Community Kitchen will be celebrating 2026 with pork and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, green beans, homemade desserts and bread on Tuesday, Dec. 30 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The community kitchen is located in The First Presbyterian Church, 102 W. Brownsville Area Ministerial Association’s Food For Falcons food program is collecting fruit snack/fruit roll-ups, Chapstick, and macaroni and cheese bowls during the months of January and February. There will be a donation area in each participating BAMA church. Volunteers are needed to pack items on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 3 p.m. at Brownsville First Christian Church, 512 Second St., Brownsville.
4C Ministry of the Republic Christian Church, Route 166, Republic will be open for the public to purchase new and gently-used clothing and household supplies from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Jan. 7.
Fresh Fire Church will hold a food distribution at the old Sears store at the Uniontown Mall on Thursday, Jan. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon. Do not line up before 9 a.m.
The BAMA meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 13 will be at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Hall, 118 Church St., Brownsville.
There will be a food bank at Pleasant View Presbyterian Church, 533 Royal Road, Smock on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m.

There will be a blood drive at the First Christian Church of Brownsville, 512 Second St., Brownsville on Tuesday, Jan. 20 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments can be scheduled at www.redcrossblood.org or by calling 1-800-733-2767.
The St. Vincent de Paul-sponsored food bank will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 21 from 11 a.m. to noon at the parking lot of the St. Mary’s Social Hall, 118 Church St., Brownsville. Families must be registered with Fayette County Community Action Agency in order to receive food.
The BAMA-supported service for Prayer for Christian Unity will be held on Thursday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. at Pleasant View Presbyterian Church, 533 Royal Road, Smock. The public is invited. The snow date is Thursday, Jan. 29.
Help is needed with unloading the food bank truck at the First Christian Church, 512 Second St., Brownsville on Friday, Jan. 23 at 9 a.m. The food bank is on Saturday, Jan. 24 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Pleasant View Presbyterian Church in Smock is sponsoring “Loads of Love” at the Mod Laundromat, 503 Union St., Brownsville on Sunday, Jan. 25 from 1 to 4 p.m. Those who need help paying for laundry costs are invited to do their laundry at this time.
Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville is holding a weekly meeting for women and teenage girls to discuss issues like depression, grief and eating disorders. Meetings are on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
On Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., the addiction recovery ministry There is Hope will be held at Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville.
