The Masontown Community Kitchen is open from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10. The menu will be pasta with meat sauce, salad, homemade desserts and bread. The Brownsville Area Ministerial Association’s Food For Falcons food program is collecting fruit snack/fruit roll-ups, Chapstick, and macaroni and cheese bowls in February. There will be a donation area in each participating BAMA church.

California UMC, 227 Third St., California, is holding a number of sales at its Care and Share Thrift Store, open 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays. Feb. 13-14: 10 items of clothing for $1; Feb. 20-21: 50% off everything; Feb. 27-28: all winter outerwear is free.

California United Women in Faith will host a video presentation and community discussion featuring Carolyn Maull McKinstry, author and survivor of the 1963 Birmingham church bombing, on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 11 a.m. The presentation will be held in the social hall at California United Methodist Church, 227 Third St., California. The public is welcome.

The St. Vincent de Paul-sponsored food bank will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of the St. Mary’s Social Hall, 118 Church St., Brownsville. Families must be registered with Fayette County Community Action Agency in order to receive food.

Fresh Fire Church will hold a food distribution at the old Sears store at the Uniontown Mall on Route 40 on Thursday, Feb. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. Recipients cannot line up before 9 a.m.

Lenten Worship Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 19 at St. Cecilia Church, 1571 Grindstone Road, Grindstone; and on Thursday, Feb. 26 at Allison First Church of the Nazarene, 416 Vernon Street, Allison. Both start at 7 p.m. and will be streamed on the Brownsville Area Ministerial Association Facebook page. Services will be canceled if Brownsville Area School District closes or dismisses early due to inclement weather.

There will be a blood drive at St. Mary’s Social Hall/St. Peter and St. Cecelia Church Parish Center, 118 Church St., Brownsville on Thursday, Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments can be scheduled at www.redcrossblood.org or by calling 1-800-733-2767.

There will be a food bank at Pleasant View Presbyterian Church, 533 Royal Road, Smock on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m.

Pleasant View Presbyterian Church in Smock is sponsoring “Loads of Love” at the Mod Laundromat, 503 Union St., Brownsville on Sunday, Feb. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. Those who need help paying for laundry costs are invited to do their laundry at this time.

Mon Valley Paws will hold its monthly reorganization meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at the Italian Club, 112 7th St., Monessen at 6 p.m. The meeting is open to anyone who wants to make a difference in the lives of animals. For more information, call 724-493-8305.

Help is needed with unloading the food bank truck at the First Christian Church, 512 Second St., Brownsville on Friday, Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. The food bank will be open on Saturday, Feb. 28 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Stepping Stones Bereavement Support will begin the spring program on Monday, March 2, at 7 p.m. Meetings are held at Third Presbyterian Church, 425 Union St., Uniontown. The non-denominational program is open to newly bereaved persons as well as those still dealing with a loss. There is no cost to participate. Articles and DVDs are used; conversation is encouraged, but not required. For information or to register for the program, call Lillian at 724-439-1683.

The Uniontown Amateur Radio Club holds its meetings on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at 7 p.m. at the club building, 433 Old Pittsburgh Road, Uniontown. Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville is holding a weekly meeting for women and teenage girls to discuss issues like depression, grief and eating disorders. Meetings are on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

On Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., the addiction recovery ministry There is Hope will be held at Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville. Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church, 200 Thornton Road, Brownsville, is holding a weekly prayer group on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. The public is invited.
