Masontown Community Kitchen will be serving roasted pork chops with cabbage and noodles, homemade desserts and bread on Tuesday, Jan. 27 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The free meal is served at First Presbyterian Church, 102 W. Pleasant View Presbyterian Church in Smock is sponsoring “Loads of Love” at the Mod Laundromat, 503 Union St., Brownsville on Sundays, Jan. 25 and Feb. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. Those who need help paying for laundry costs are invited to do their laundry at this time.
Allison Christian Church, 452 East Ave., Allison, is holding youth group meetings on Sundays, Feb. 1 and 15 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Young people from any denomination are welcome.

Feb. 6-7: buy one pair of pants, get one free; Feb. 13-14: 10 items of clothing for $1; Feb. 20-21: 50% off everything; Feb. 27-28: all winter outerwear is free.
The St. Vincent de Paul-sponsored food bank will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of the St. Mary’s Social Hall, 118 Church St., Brownsville. Families must be registered with Fayette County Community Action Agency in order to receive food.
The Brownsville Area Ministerial Association’s Food For Falcons food program is collecting fruit snack/fruit roll-ups, Chapstick, and macaroni and cheese bowls in February. There will be a donation area in each participating BAMA church. The items will be packaged on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 3 p.m. at Brownsville Christian Church, 512 Second St., Brownsville. Volunteers are welcome.
Lenten Worship Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 19 at St. Cecilia Church, 1571 Grindstone Road, Grindstone; and on Thursday, Feb. 26 at Allison First Church of the Nazarene, 416 Vernon Street, Allison. Both start at 7 p.m. and will be streamed on the Brownsville Area Ministerial Association Facebook page. Services will be canceled if Brownsville Area School District closes or dismisses early due to inclement weather.
Help is needed with unloading the food bank truck at the First Christian Church, 512 Second St., Brownsville on Friday, Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. The food bank will be open on Saturday, Feb. 28 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Stepping Stones Bereavement Support will begin the spring program on Monday, March 2, at 7 p.m. Meetings are held at Third Presbyterian Church, 425 Union St., Uniontown. The non-denominational program is open to newly bereaved persons as well as those still dealing with a loss. There is no cost to participate. 4C Ministry of the Republic Christian Church, Route 166, Republic will be open for the public to come and purchase new and gently used clothing and household supplies on Wednesday, Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Fresh Fire Church will hold a food distribution at the old Sears store at the Uniontown Mall on Route 40 on Thursday, Feb. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. Recipients cannot line up before 9 a.m.
AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary is hosting a Veterans Sweetheart Dance on Feb. 13 at the AMVETS Post 103, 123 Buttermilk Lane, Hopwood from 6 to 8 pm. Children age 17 and under can bring a veteran or veterans to dance and have fun. RSVP to Kathy at 724-415-9168.

The Uniontown Amateur Radio Club holds its meetings on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at 7 p.m. at the club building, 433 Old Pittsburgh Road, Uniontown. Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville is holding a weekly meeting for women and teenage girls to discuss issues like depression, grief and eating disorders. Meetings are on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
