Dine and shop

United Christian Church, 499 E. Malden Drive, Coal Center, is holding the spring fundraiser “Bling, Bags, Blooms & Bites,” on Saturday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This event combines a gourmet dining experience with an exclusive shopping opportunity. Tickets for the luncheon are $40, and only 48 will be sold. Call 724-938-2098 for tickets or additional information.

Vintage sale

As part of the National Road Festival, United Christian Church, 499 E. Malden Drive, Coal Center, will host a “Vintage and Timeless Sale” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 16, and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 17. The indoor event will include vintage and costume jewelry, designer bags. The event will be held indoors, rain or shine. Anyone wishing to donate items to the sale may call 724-938-2098.

Food bank

There will be a food bank at Pleasant View Presbyterian Church, 533 Royal Road, Smock, on Saturday, May 16, at 10 a.m.

Youth group

Allison Christian Church, 452 East Ave., Allison, is holding a youth group meeting on Sunday, May 17, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Young people of any age and from any denomination are welcome.

Election Day lunch

California United Methodist Church, 227 Third St., California, will hold an Election Day luncheon and basket raffle on Tuesday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch is $10. All proceeds go to California United Methodist Women in Faith’s mission projects.

Blood drive

There will be a blood drive at the First Christian Church of Brownsville, 512 Second St., Brownsville on Tuesday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Schedule an appointment at www.redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-733-2767.

Food bank

The St. Vincent de Paul-sponsored food bank will be held on Wednesday, May 20, in the parking lot of the St. Mary’s Social Hall, 118 Church St., Brownsville, from 11 a.m. to noon.

Help needed

Help is needed with unloading the food bank truck at the First Christian Church, 512 Second St., Brownsville, on Friday, May 22, at 9 a.m. The food bank is on Saturday, May 23, from 9 to 10:15 a.m.

Dancing at fire hall

Dancing at the fire hall will be held at the Center Township Volunteer Fire Department in Rogersville on May 23 from 7 to 10 p.m. Dances will include waltzes, polkas, line dancing, square dances and more. Dave Dahl will also take requests. Those who haven’t participated in a square dance will be walked through the steps. Light refreshments will be available for purchase. The event benefits the Center Township VFD Auxiliary. The cost for a couple is $15; for an individual, $8; for ages 12-18, $6; and for those under 12 are free.

Loads of love

Pleasant View Presbyterian Church in Smock is sponsoring Loads of Love at Mod Laundromat, 503 Union St., Brownsville, on Sunday, May 31 from 1 to 4 p.m. Those who need help paying for laundry costs are invited to do their laundry at this time.

Arts program

Mon Valley Academy for the Arts (MVAA) invites teens to participate in its ongoing Crafty Conversations program, held on the second Wednesday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Peter J. Daley Cultural Center, 119 Brownsville Ave., Brownsville. The free sessions offer teens a chance to express themselves artistically. Radio club

The Uniontown Amateur Radio Club holds its meetings on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at 7 p.m. at the club building, 433 Old Pittsburgh Road, Uniontown. Women’s meeting

Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville is holding a weekly meeting for women and teenage girls to discuss issues like depression, grief and eating disorders. Meetings are on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Addiction recovery

On Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., the addiction recovery ministry There is Hope will be held at Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville. Prayer group

Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church, 200 Thornton Road, Brownsville, is holding a weekly prayer group on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. The public is invited.
