Senior Expo planned for Washington fairgrounds
Area residents age 55 and older and their families will have a chance to connect with more than 100 local agencies, businesses and organizations when the 2026 Washington County Senior Expo returns Thursday, Sept. 24, at a new location — the Washington County Fairgrounds.
The free event is being hosted by the Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging Inc., along with co-hosts state Sen. Camera Bartolotta, state Rep. Tim O’Neal and Washington County Commissioners Nick Sherman, Electra S. Janis and Larry Maggi.
The expo will be open from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with exhibitors on hand to provide information about programs, services and benefits available to older adults and their families.
Visitors can stop by vendor tables to talk with representatives and experts about a wide range of aging-related products, services and issues. Free health screenings, flu shots and other opportunities will also be available.
Free coffee, donuts and water will be available beginning at 8:45 a.m., compliments of UPMC. Lunch will be available for purchase from Texas Roadhouse and Miss Debbie’s Deli.
Visitor parking is available at the main entrance to the fairgrounds, including designated handicapped spaces for people with mobility issues.
Range Resources is sponsoring free trolley transportation between the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum and the Washington County Fairgrounds.
Trolleys will leave the museum approximately every 20 minutes from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. Drop-off and pick-up will be at the fairgrounds station on Arden Road.
Visitors wishing to take advantage of the free trolley should enter through the museum’s main entrance and stop at the front desk/store counter for a complimentary ticket. They should let museum staff know they are attending the Senior Expo.
