The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum is offering $5 admission starting Saturday and continuing through Aug. 22.

The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum will be offering $5 admission to all visitors during that week. The museum’s newest rotating exhibit, “Streetcars to the Skies,” features Philadelphia Rapid Transit (PRT) Air Service, the streetcar company that took to the skies 100 years ago this month. In 1926, as part of America’s 150th anniversary in Philadelphia, PRT started an airline to Washington, D.C., and eventually Norfolk, Va. that lasted only five months. It was the first regularly scheduled passenger air service in the eastern part of the United States.

Visitors will also be able to ride a trolley to the Washington County Agricultural Fair. Trolleys will shuttle guests to and from the fairgrounds from the Eaton parking lot, the Welcome and Education Center and the museum’s west campus to and from the fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day of the fair.

The trolleys will depart every 10-to-15 minutes and tickets are good for multiple trips throughout the day of purchase. Children aged 2 and under are free.

For a full listing of special events and other programs offered at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, visit the museum’s website at www.patrolley.org or call 724-228-9256.
