‘Ferris Bueller’ to be shown at State Theatre

Forty years ago this summer, moviegoers were flocking to see “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” – particularly young moviegoers, who thrilled to the adventures of the title character, who decides to feign being sick and skip school.
The comedy is now considered a classic and is part of the National Film Registry. It also spawned a television series, “Ferris Bueller.” Anyone who is nostalgic about seeing “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” on the big screen will have the chance to do so again when it is shown at the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Uniontown Friday.
