Model railroad open house planned at Mountaineer Mall
The Mon Valley Railroad Historical Society is having its annual model railroad back-to-school open house this weekend at Mountaineer Mall in Morgantown, W.Va.
Visitors will be able to see trains travel on a new HO scale layout, as well as on O gauge and N scale layouts. All the layouts represent West Virginia and the railroads that served the region. Trains will be running through hills, across rivers and through towns all day long.
There will also be Lionel and HO train items for sale, free magazines, railroad postcards, tourist railroad and hobby shop information along with railroad historical displays.
Hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.and Sunday from noon to 4pm. More information on the Mon Valley Railroad Historical Society is available at MVRRHS.org.
