The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh’s annual Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive is happening through November.

Visitors who donate during open hours will receive one free, same-day adult admission to the museum. Sweater donors are encouraged to drop off new or gently-used sweaters in all sizes to the donation bin located at the main entrance. Children’s sizes are especially appreciated.

Donations are accepted every day from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. The museum is open from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.

The annual sweater drive has collected approximately 50,000 sweaters for children and families in the Pittsburgh area for the last 26 years.

“Each year we are overwhelmed with the generosity of the Pittsburgh community, who come together to donate thousands of sweaters to those in need,” said Jane Werner, the museum’s executive director. “We are proud to distribute not just sweaters, but a feeling of joy and warmth during the holiday season.”
