Gregg Allman documentary to be screened at Kamin Science Center
Fans of Gregg Allman and the Allman Brothers Band will have a chance to experience his story on the big screen when the documentary “Gregg Allman: The Music of My Soul” comes to the Kamin Science Center starting today.
Presented by longtime Pittsburgh concert promoter Rich Engler, the 96-minute documentary explores the life, music, and legacy of Gregg Allman, co-founder of the Allman Brothers Band. Through rare archival footage, performances, and interviews, the film chronicles Allman’s remarkable journey through triumph, tragedy, addiction, and redemption — and the music that helped shape American rock.
“Gregg Allman: The Music of My Soul” is receiving an exclusive Pittsburgh screening at the Rangos Giant Cinema, with no other showings within a 90-mile radius 30 days before or after these screenings.
Showtimes are at 7 p.m. today, Friday and Saturday.
Tickets are available at KaminScienceCenter.org. For every ticket sold to the film, $2 will benefit the Gregg Allman Scholarship Fund or a local charitable organization dedicated to supporting live music.
