Avella’s community festival set for Saturday
The Avella Area Community Festival was called off in July due to Canadian wildfire smoke that was sweeping into the area, but it is back on for Saturday.
It will be at Little A Town Arena and will feature a variety of attractions and activities, including inflatable costume races, pedal tractor pulls for kids, an iceless skating rink, hay rides and more. Live music is on the menu, along with food and drink vendors.
The festival is sponsored by Cross Creek, Hopewell, Independence and Jefferson townships and West Middletown. Hours are 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. For information, go online to crosscreektwp.org.
