Shirley A. Largent
Shirley A. Largent, 86, of Waynesburg, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, She was born March 6, 1931, in Clarksville, a daughter of the late Garald J. and Hildred Scott Turner.
She was a graduate of Jefferson High School and Washington Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Largent was a registered nurse at the former Greene County Memorial Hospital in Waynesburg for over 35 years. She was a lifelong member of Clarksville Christian Church, where she was deacon emeritus, the former secretary of the church board and a member of Christian Women Fellowship.
On May 8, 1954, she married Robert M. Largent, who died October 19, 1991.
Surviving are two sons, Robert G. (Karen) Largent of Johnstown and Frank O. Largent of Carmichaels; four grandchildren; three great-grandsons; three siblings, Garaldine Adamson of Waynesburg, J. Robert (Jean) Turner of Warren and Sara (Homer) Reesman of Waynesburg and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 23. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.
