Vincent C. Konieczny
Vincent C. “Doc” Konieczny, 75, of Breakneck Road, Connellsville, Pa., proud Veteran of the United States Army Detachment 1, HQ and HQ Squadron, 7th Air Service Command during World War II who attained the rank of Corporal while serving in Japan, retired Inspector for Duraloy Blaw-Knox Corporation in Scottdale, presently employed as a Starter and Ranger for Donegal Highlands Golf Course, who was born in Everson, Pa., died early Saturday morning, December 28, 2002 at his residence. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Geraldine F. Schomer Konieczny, whom he married July 18, 1952; daughters: Susan M. and her husband, Herbert M. Danner, and Debbie A. and her husband, Jack L. Swank, all of Connellsville, Pa.; grandchildren: Denny Stewart of Connellsville, Rachel and husband, Butch Thomas, of Everson, Pa., Vincent Stewart of Greensburg, Pa., Deanna Swank of Connellsville; three great grandsons; four great granddaughters; and a brother, Thomas S. Konieczny and his wife, Anna, of Mount Pleasant R.D.2, Pa.
Family will greet friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc., 417 West Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 31, until 10:30 a.m.
