Man arrested

State police said a 16-year-old Clarksville man was arrested for underage consumption after he was found intoxicated Saturday at 4:30 a.m. along Smith Creek Road.

Flowerpots stolen

State police said someone entered the Ekis residence on Cross Street between 1:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday and removed two flowerpots.

Franklin Twp.

Guns taken

James Fonner, 45, of Waynesburg told state police that someone entered his Toll Gate Run residence between 11 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday and took six guns.

Cumberland Twp.

Window broken

Mark D. Wotring, 40, of Nemacolin told state police someone broke a window in his vehicle between 3 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday.

Franklin Twp.

Tools taken

State police said someone pried open doors on trailers belonging to Lincoln Contracting of Boswell between 2 and 2:42 a.m. Sunday and removed tools.

Carmichaels

Vehicle damaged

Lee Kress Jr. of Carmichaels told state police someone scratched his vehicle between 10 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday in Woodside Manor.

Masontown

Theft reported

Wally Stillwagon, 66, of South Liberty Street told borough police that sometime Monday night his vehicle was entered and a portable CD player, a power pack and cellular phone were taken.

Man charged

Masontown police said Robert Lee Jr., 32, of 82 Fort Mason Village, Masontown, was charged with burglary and related offenses for a burglary that occurred at the Marathon gas station on Main Street. Police said Lee was arraigned before District Justice Brenda Cavalcante and placed in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bond.

Man not injured

Charles Younkin Jr., 28, of Connellsville was not injured in a one-vehicle accident on a legislative route at 6:50 p.m. Monday.

Tickets damaged

Hennessey’s Country Market in Dawson told state police that eight packs of 300 individual state lottery tickets were damaged at noon Friday.

Underage drinking

State police at Waynesburg reported that an 18 year-old man and woman were found consuming alcoholic beverages behind Pat’s Discount at 3:58 a.m. Saturday.

Aggravated assault.

State police from Uniontown reported Wednesday that a 14-year-old boy from Uniontown held a knife to the throat of a 15-year-old girl from Mt. Braddock in the food service shop at the Fayette County Area Vocational Technical School on April 17. No other information was reported.

Franklin Twp.

Charges filed

State police at Waynesburg said Angela Barr, 22, of 280 N. Liberty Street, Waynesburg, was cited for harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after she reportedly struck Robin Lemmon in the face at Yum-Yum Donuts Saturday at 3:30 a.m. and also damaged a countertop inside the building.

Handguns stolen

City police said Laquita Taylor of 26 Hortense St. reported that two Ruger 9mm handguns were stolen from her vehicle between Sunday and Tuesday. Both guns were purchased in April. One was a model P89 bearing serial number 31452970 and the other was a model P95D bearing serial number 31454548.

Warrant arrest

City police arrested David Cornish, 24, of Derry at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday on a domestic relations bench warrant issued by Westmoreland County. Police said they took Cornish into custody after receiving a report that he was seen on Lawn Avenue.

Burglary reported

City police are investigating a Wednesday morning burglary in which somebody broke into a house at 25 Apple Street and reportedly stole a woman’s purse that contained $800 in cash, credit cards, a checkbook, cell phone, various forms of identification, medicine and keys. Police determined that the burglar jumped a chain link fence in an ally to reach the victim’s yard and entered the house by kicking in a storm door. About $200 in damage was done to the door.

Sneddon also reported 42 total arrests, 65 traffic citations, $465.90 in receipts, 950 parking tickets and $2,359.99 in parking ticket revenue.

Stove fire

A pot on a stove in a home along Marie Alley caught fire just before noon Tuesday and was extinguished before firefighters arrived, according to the Fayette County 911 Center. Hopwood and South Union Township volunteer fire departments and Uniontown Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the fire.

Structure fire

Local firefighters responded to a structure fire at 10:14 p.m. Tuesday on Kirk Street. Called to the blaze were Morrell, Dunbar, Monarch, DL&V and Connellsville Township volunteer fire departments. Firefighters were called out again Wednesday morning when the fire rekindled.

Truck damaged

State police said a 43-year-old Uniontown man damaged a truck owned by Mark Mancini, 41, of Lemont Furnace and was publicly drunk along Starlite Road at 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Connellsville Twp.

Vehicles collide

State police said Betty J. Brooks and Daniel Scott Hough, both of Connellsville, suffered no injuries in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of East Crawford Avenue and East Blake Avenue Tuesday. Fayette EMS and Connellsville Twp. VFD assisted police at the scene.

South Union Twp.

Fraud examined

Four males believed to be in their teens and late 20s are accused of using a credit card to purchase more than $700 in items from K-Mart along Matthews Drive Tuesday, state police said. Police said the men fled in a stolen white Ford Explorer with West Virginia registration.

Burglary probed

Betty Rafail of Smithfield told state police that someone broke into her Lover’s Leap Road home and tried unsuccessfully to open a safe between 3:30 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.

East Huntingdon Twp.

Two charged

State police at Belle Vernon said Joseph William Baker, 20, and Susan Lynn Snyder, 22, both of Scottdale, were arrested for hindering an arrest at 10 a.m. May 1. Police said a warrant was issued for Baker’s arrest for a domestic incident, but Snyder allowed him to continue to hide in their home at Gurley Drive Apartments.

Business robbed

D & M Contracting, Inc., of New Alexandria told state police that someone broke into an office trailer parked along Route 119 and stole about $1000 of equipment and caused about $160 damage to the trailer between 6:30 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday.

North Union Twp.

Assault reported

State police said a juvenile allegedly stole money from Lily Peck of Lemont Furnace and when confronted also punched Edward Peck of Lemont Furnace at 6:49 p.m. Tuesday.

German Twp.

Harassment probed

Jessica Banko and Heather Kilo told state police that they were verbally and physically harassed by a man and woman, respectively, at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday.

Greensburg

Memorial planned

State police at Greensburg announced a memorial service honoring Westmoreland County officers killed in the line of duty at 12 p.m. Saturday in Saint Clair Park Amphitheater in Greensburg. State Attorney General Mike Fisher will be the featured speaker, and the service is sponsored by Westmoreland County law enforcement officers.
