William Pletcher, 87, of Cleveland, Ohio, and formerly of this area, died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at his home. He was born September 17, 1934, in Somerset, Pa., son of Clark Pletcher and Dorothy Lowden Pletcher.

Mr. Pletcher was retired from the General Motors Chevrolet Plant in Cleveland, Ohio, and was a Veteran of the United States Army.

A sister, Marlene Moore, and his parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by five children: Bonnie and her husband, Ed Williams, and William Pletcher Jr. all of Cleveland, Ohio, Patricia Pletcher of Columbus, Ohio, Clark Pletcher and Edward Pletcher both of Cleveland, Ohio; three grandchildren; two sisters: Donna Tomasko and her husband, Dave, of Connellsville, Pa., and Karen Lorenzo and her husband, Bob, of Mentor, Ohio; and one brother, Richard Pletcher of West Leisenring, Pa.

Friend will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pa., on Monday from 4 to 9 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 21, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donna Stenger officiating.

Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville, Pa.
