Dennis Dvorchak, 62, of 20 Eshelman Road, Lancaster, Pa., died unexpectedly Sunday, February 9, 2003 at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida. He was born in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late Martin Dvorchak and Julia Nypaver Dvorchak of Pittsburg, Pa.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lancaster.

He served as president of Murray Insurance, Inc. of Lancaster from 1982, taught insurance licensing course at Penn State, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Loyal Order of Moose and Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife Kathleen Serafin Dvorchak; his mother, Julia Nypaver Dvorchak; four sons, Dennis Michael Dvorchak, David Dvorchak, Douglas and wife Eileen Curry Dvorchak and Drew and wife Kristin Hagel Dvorchak, all of Lancaster; two sisters Dr. Donna Lund and husband Richard of Pittsburgh and Joyce Riley and husband James of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three brothers, Dan Dvorchak of Orlando, Fla., Martin and wife Nina Dvorchak of Cincinnati, Ohio and Dr. James Dvorchak and wife Nina of Narberth, Pa.

Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fred F. Groff, Inc., Funeral Home, 234 W. Orange Street, Lancaster, Pa. and are invited to Dennis’ Life Celebration on Thursday beginning at 9 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Prince and Vine Sts., Lancaster, Pa. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.
