Christina Michelle Holloway
Christina Michelle Holloway, age 16, of Greensboro, Pa., died Saturday evening, January 18, 2003 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on State Route 88 in Monongahela Township, Greene County, Pa. She was born August 19, 1986 in Silver Spring, Maryland, a daughter of Michael Holloway Sr. of Laurel, Maryland, and Tina L. Humbert Friday and Kevin J. Friday of Greensboro, Pa.
Christina resided in Greensboro since 1989 and was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She was an Honor Student of the Class of 2004 at Mapletown High School where she led her class in academic standing. She was a member of the National Honor Society, SADD, the Gifted Program and the Interact Club.
Christina was also a tutor at Mapletown High School and enjoyed writing poetry and short stories and listening to all types of music. She was well liked as a kind and generous person.
Christina was hoping to pursue a career in medicine.
Surviving in addition to her parents are a brother, Michael Holloway Jr. at home; a sister, Jessica Christen Holloway at home; two step brothers: John Friday and Andrew Friday both of Mather, Pa.; maternal grandparents, James C. and Gertrude Humbert of Greensboro, Pa.; paternal grandparents, David and Sallie Holloway of Capital Heights, Maryland, and Richard and Yvette Friday of Plum Boro, Pa.; and several aunts, uncles, great aunts and great uncles.
Friends will be received at the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Route 88, Carmichaels, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, at First United Methodist Church, 104 West South Street, Carmichaels. The Rev. Roger C. Saunders will officiate.
Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Christina Michelle Holloway Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Community Bank, N. A., Post Office Box 357, Carmichaels, PA 15320-0357.
