Ella Jean Lowry Hice, age 46, died Saturday, January 18, 2003 at home in Newport, North Carolina. She was born July 3, 1956, in Uniontown, Pa.

Her father, Samuel R. Hice, mother, Martha Cox Hice, sister, Rosemary Bowman, and brother, Samuel R. Hice Jr., preceded her in death.

Surviving are daughters: Melissa Dawn Holt and Martha Jean Gee both of North Carolina; three grandsons: Samuel, Robbie and Hartley; sisters: Martha Hice of Uniontown, Pa., Virginia Candlore of McKeesport, Pa., and Sherry Smith of Uniontown, Pa.; and brothers: Richard Hice and William Hice both of New Salem, Pa., and John Hice of Uniontown, Pa.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 24, 2003 at 11 a.m. in Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Route 21, McClellandtown, Pa., with Pastor Tanner officiating.
