Charles William Boord
Charles William Boord, 73, of Hopwood, Pa., died Sunday, March 26, 2003 at his residence. He was born March 5, 1930 in New Geneva, Pa., a son of John E. Boord and Marie Mary (McMillen) Boord, of Martin, Pa.
He worked as a general manager for Sinclair Construction of Hopwood for 30 years.
He was a member of Hopwood Amvets and gave 100 pints of blood to American Red Cross. Chuck was a computer buff and a microscope student.
He served in the United States Navy in the Korean War on the U.S.S. Roosevelt.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by a sister Dorothy R. Thomas, a brother Karl Boord and a brother-in-law James Thomas,
Besides his mother Marie Boord, he is survived by his wife Shirley Boord of Uniontown; a daughter Laurel Jordan of Hopwood; granddaughters, Amanda of Jacksonville, Fla., Brittaney of Hopwood, Christy of Missouri and Jenna of Hopwood ;a great grandson Austin of Jacksonville, Fla.; several uncles, and friends and three special friends, Joe, Ruth and Clarence of Hopwood.
Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR., Funeral home, Masontown, Pa. today from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 10 a.m., the hour of service in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danial Hamilton officiating.
Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown, Pa.

Military honors will be accorded at the graveside by Hopwood Amvets.
