Thelma Watson
Thelma Wainwright Watson, 83, of Uniontown, Pa., died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at hr residence, with her loving family at her side. She was born June 3, 1921, in Roscoe, Pa., a daughter of the late W. Henry Wainwright and Amelia Brirley Wainwright.
Also preceding her in death were three brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Watson was a former Health and Physical Education teacher at the Benjamin Franklin Junior High School, was a member of the Uniontown Third Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, where she served as an Elder and was an Adult Sunday School class teacher, was a member of the Uniontown Service League, the Progress Club, and was a Past Matron of Uniontown Chapter 263 Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband, Fred L. Watson; a son, Dr. Mark W. Watson and his wife, Lisa of Morristown, N.J.; two daughters. Lisa W. Brown and her husband, Steven of Fort Mill, S.C., and Amy W. Stemler and her husband, Jay Robert of Elk River, Minn.; and five grandchildren, Keith and Benjamin Brown and Abby, Katy and Mark Stemler.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNRAL HOME, 164 South Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday, in the Third Presbyterian Church, 425 Union St., Uniontown, Pa., from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of services, with the Rev. William D. Rodahaver officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa. Uniontown Chapter No. 263 OES will hold services on Thursday at 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
