Albert T. Greeley, age 79, of Uniontown passed away Monday, July 25, 2005, in the Highlands Hospital, Connellsville, Pa. He was born in Footdale, Pa., December 19, 1925, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Ann Smetanka Greeley.

In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by two sisters and a brother, Marcella Pollick, Joseph Greeley and Vernie Greeley.

Al was a four year veteran of the United States Marine Corp. and served during World War II

He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, District 2, local 1835 a former employee of Menallen Coal and Coke Company and a retired machine operator for Luzerne Coal Company.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Alexander Greeley and three daughters and sons: Mary Robbins and her husband, Fred of Uniontown, Pa., Albert Greeley Jr. of Uniontown, and Kathy Marks and her husband, Robert of Uniontown and David Greeley of Uniontown, eight grandchildren, Freddie Robbins Jr., Dean Robbins, Nicholas Scott Robbins, Delores Greeley Thomas, Albert Greeley III, Robert Arthur Marks III, Kianna Marks and Lacey Jolene Greeley, five great grandchildren and one sister, Joan Krenz and her husband, Marlin of Detroit, Michigan.

Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., after 7 p.m. today, July 26, 2005, and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 11 a.m. on Thursday, The Hour of Service with the Rev. Roland M. O’Brien officiating.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

Masontown Veterans of Foreign War, Post 4584 will conduct military rites at the cemetery.
