Thomas Leo Vincent McCartney, age 80, of Rices Landing, Pa., World War II United States Navy Veteran (Pacific) who retired from the United States Army Corps of Engineers (Lock No. 6 at Rices Landing and later Maxwell Lock and Dam), died Monday, April 3, 2006, at home. He is survived by three daughters: Mary Catherine McCartney of Rices Landing, Sue Ellen McCartney Ruffner of Mather, Pa., and her fianc?, Steven Martin, and Noreen McCartney Martin and her husband, Ronald Martin, of Harrisburg, Pa.; grandchildren: Todd William Ruffner, Holly June Ruffner and Shannon Kathleen McCartney-Martin; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Catherine Louise McCartney Herron of Fair Oaks, California.

There will be no public visitation and interment will be private. Arrangements are under direction of the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Pa., Gregory P. Rohanna, Supervisor.
