Angeline Antonopulos Metropulos, 104, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away April 18, 2006, at her residence. She was born in Greece on February 4, 1902, daughter of the late Theodore and Athanasia Sarantakis Antonopulos.

Mrs. Metropulos is the last remaining member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter W. Metropulos; three children, Georgia Metropulos, William P. Metropulos and Sophia Metropulos Loomis; a brother, Charles Andrews; and two sisters, Anna Ballas and Magdeline Sarantakis.

She is survived by four grandchildren: Peter Metropulos and wife, Kathy, Rebecca Harris and husband, Jerry, Diane Metropulos and Denise Tharp and husband, Albert, all of Ohio; three great-grandchildren: Albert Tharp IV, Keith Metropulos and Clara Metropulos; a brother, Chris Antonopulos and two sisters: Marianne Sampanes and Lillian Reelman, all of Michigan; a daughter-in-law, Lillian Metropulos of Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her extended family, including Richard and Karen Lee and their children, Richard, Jeremy and Patrick and the many caregivers and friends who so graciously took care of her.

Friends and family will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa., Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2006, in Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, 1207 Grand Boulevard, Monessen, Pa., with Father Demetrois Gardikes as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at noon in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
