Richard J. Mlinarcik
Richard J. Mlinarcik Sr., 79, of Brownsville, Pa., passed away on Monday, August 7, 2006, in the Laurel Ridge Nursing Center, Uniontown, Pa. He was born on March 2, 1927 in Footedale, Pa., the son of Mike and Anna Zoldos Mlinarcik.
Mr. Mlinarcik was a member of The Historic Church of Saint Peter in Brownsville, Pa.
He was a retired Coal Mining foreman with the United States Steel Corporation at Maplecreek Mine.
Mr. Mlinarcik was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Robert Mlinarcik, two sisters, Ruth Mullen and Dorothy Mlinarcik.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann Marody Mlinarcik; six children, Annette Stalone and husband Martin of Conshocken, Pa., Joanne Colinet of Richeyville, Pa., Richard J. Mlinarcik Jr. of Brownsville, Pa., Ramona Restina and husband David of Hiller, Pa., Rachel Mlinarcik of Brownsville, Pa., and John Mlinarcik and his wife Tammy of Greensburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Jessica Arminas and husband John, Tiffanie Stanton and husband Mike, Ashton Restina, Tony Colinet, Tara Cacia and husband Tony, Marla Stalone, Frank Stalone, and Maria Mlinarcik; three great-grandchildren, Riley Stanton, Brady Stanton and Mackenzie Cacia; three brothers, Charles, Donald, and Mike Mlinarcik all of Ohio; one sister, Mildred Obbish of Ohio; one brother-in-law, Alex Marody of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at the Historic Church of Saint Peter, Brownsville, Pa. with the Rev. Father Vincent Gigliotti as celebrant.
Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park.
The Parish Rosary will be recited on today at 3 p.m.
